With an office located in Aspen Park, The Law Office of Dual C. Schneider, LLC assists individuals and families along the 285 Corridor with estate planning, probate administration, and other related matters. We provide the tools, counsel, and experience necessary to effectively help clients plan for potential incapacity (Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, HIPAA Releases), utilize appropriate asset transfer mechanisms via probate (Wills) or outside of probate (Trusts, Beneficiary Deeds, Beneficiary Designations), and navigate Colorado’s probate system.
Free Initial Consultations
We offer free initial consultations to prospective clients in our office, at your home, or remotely through videoconferencing technology. Our office views the initial consultation as an opportunity to actively listen to your needs, concerns, and goals, answer your questions, and provide information about the various estate planning tools and estate administration procedures that are appropriate for your situation. Because the circumstances differ for each prospective client, we do not set time limits on our free initial consultations.
For estate planning, after we have discussed and evaluated your particular goals, we provide our recommendation on the type of estate package that would best serve your needs and the flat fee that we would charge to provide this completed package. Our flat fee covers all additional consultations, drafting, collaborative review, execution, and document assembly. We price our estate packages reasonably and fundamentally disagree with “upselling” any unnecessary estate planning products or services to clients.
For estate administration, once we have reviewed all factors involved, our goal is to educate prospective clients on the probate process and the steps required for successful administration. If a client decides to retain our office for probate representation, we bill at fair hourly rates (though clients are able to significantly reduce billable hours by taking on certain tasks under our guidance). While our office does not take on contentious, litigated probate cases, we have developed close professional relationships with trusted, competent attorneys who do. We are more than happy to provide referrals to these attorneys.
Dual Schneider grew up in a farming community just over the Kansas side of the Colorado border. After graduating from college with degrees in Sociology, Political Science, and Anthropology, Dual worked as a carpenter for seven years before making the decision to continue his education at The University of Montana School of Law.
While attending law school, both Dual’s family and the family of his significant other were involved in complex estate litigation cases brought on by estate planning and administration errors. With these experiences in mind, Dual decided to pursue a legal career in estate law.
Dual completed his Juris Doctorate in 2015 and moved back to Colorado where he gained experience working for several firms that specialized in estate and elder law. Dual now lives in Conifer with his significant other, step-daughter, son, and two dogs. In his free time, Dual enjoys taking on carpentry projects, working on landscaping/fire mitigation, and spending time with his family.
